Does anyone recommend tips/products on how to get rid of the yellowing on the headlamps? Its not so much a "yellow color" (slight traces of the yellow color but blurry overall nonetheless)
I saw a product on pep boys today from blue magic thats supposed to remove yellowing after a couple sessions but I was skeptical so I chose to ask here first
I just did the yellowed headlights of our Ford yesterday, using 400 grit sandpaper to wet sand, then 1000-grit scotchbrite to wetsand, then polishing compound, then Turtle Wax scratch-removing wax, all buffed with a drill-end buffer ball made of foam.
All the yellow came off and the lenses are much clearer. They are not, crystal clear as shown in the links above, however. Our were yellowish and rough even after washing. They're now clear, but still a little foggy, and smooth. My whole job took about 30 minutes to do both lights.
I just did my girlfriend's daughter's lights. I started with 1000 grit wet sanding, followed by 1500 then 2000 grit. Then I finished off with plastic polish and a buffer. They looked brand new when I was done.

As you can see, there seems to be some calcium deposits or yellowing(its actually more yellow in person), the camera unfortunately didnt capture it
Also I have glass headlights and from what i've gathered its a different method to clean them from plastic headlenses.
Someone said I cant use wet sandpaper because the friction will cause it to crack or something (lol?) or some other reasons but basically they said wetsand is a no-no.
So I am here to ask, is it ok to wetsand/polish the glass headlamps or should I try a different method?
Thanks in advance

Do NOT sand glass headlamps. You can use polishes specifically made for glass like cereum oxide and a electric polisher. This should be all you need to get your glass lamps back to perfect.
Thank for the tip. By any chance would I be able to pick up cerium oxcide at local stores? im not sure whether to look at an auto parts or hardware store (maybe theres another place?)
So once I get the stuff, any tips on how to apply it?
