i love that style of wheel. esspecially the bolt design on the outer lip... very simple and yet contemporary. Where did you aquire these "stick on"'s b/c i've seen a set of wheels like this i may aquire but they don't have OEM Benz centercaps.

It's a little more risky in this case...kinda like a doctor screwing up your plastic surgery the first time; do you trust him to fix it the second time?
Okay...at least the first part of this saga is over. I picked up my car last night and well, you can say "I told you so", but after their second attempt, 90% of the swirls are still there. I'm obviously done with this place...I wasted $300.
That said, do any of you know of a competent detailer that can help me out in the San Francisco/Bay Area? Thanks!

I WOULD STAY FAR AND CLEAR OF THE OTHER DETAILER. Having them re-do it even for free may cause more damage. Your car is a personal effect of which they should take pride in and should have grabbed the keys from you when you came back and straight up got busy. They sound money hungry rather then being customer satisfaction based.
I am sorry that they are f*cking screw ups which tend to give "us" detailers a bad name. I only do detailing for others that I know and not for a huge profit. My job rivals that of full on incorporated detailers. As one who has worked on Avanti's, Lexus's, MBz, BMW's, Acura's and all the colour cars under the sun, I am sadden that they did not take pride in thier work.

that is a sucky situation... I actually do a lot of detailing myself too but its for almost no profit, i ask for nothing and if a payment is insisted which is usually the case i take just enough to cover my overhead for new supplies and toys to expand my arsenal. Most of it is for family and friends since my work is very good and unrushed. I think the problem w/ a lot of 'professional detailers' is the 'professional' part. When your in it too only make the buck then the quality drops. I do it for myself as a hobbie and almost as therapy since i find it very relaxing for some reason (probably the time to think about stuff and see the car transform into something brand new), even if i ever did charge someone for a decent profit i would still keep my standards up to what i expect when doing my own car if not even higher since its risking a strangers property.
Anyway its a damn shame people out there would charge $300 and deliever utter shit. Just goes to show paying a lot doesn't ensure quality.
