another zaino thread

Hi,

I have just moved house and my car no longer gets tucked up in a cosy garage at night and he is now in need of some TLC. I am wanting to get either a zaino or zymol starter kit. I have found a couple of places that sell zymol creame starter kit for £105, and i have been using their autowash for some time and like the results. Has anyone bought a zaino starter kit in the UK? If so where did you order it from?

Also does anyone ever use a car cover? I am paranoid of getting swirls in the paint by pulling one on and off, but it may be better than just leaving him naked.

Thanks

Hi! Actually, I've gotten pretty good results with Klasse AIO to polish and then this product known as Collinite as a sealant. I would highly recommend both these products. Collinite does give you a sort of natural wax look (not as good though), but primarily, it does a great job protecting the paint over an extended period of time (very good water beading even after 8 months!). If you want the "wet" look, just put on a layer of carnauba wax over the Collinite.

I think faint swirls in the paint are inevitable if you park your car outside (but nothing a random orbital won't fix). I think it is inevitable anyhow. I do use a car cover and I recommend it. Just be sure to keep your car cover clean of soil, leaves, twigs, etc. I personally have accepted swirls as a part of life. I just don't have the time to keep my cars in absolutely perfect condition.

cheers,
suntan
