I DONT want to start a flaming war here{someone already did} However,IMHO,using ajax on your car is like washing your pecker with lighter fluid, Sure it will get it clean,BUT, It causes more problems down the road!!!!!!! And the other thing that caught my eye, How does one put on a THICK or HEAVY coat of wax?????

At first glance, I thought the Ajax being discussed was the 'Comet-like' abrasive cleaner, but they're talking about the dishwashing liquid. For sure the abrasive cleaner will trash the paint.

I don't think the d/w liquid will hurt anything...of course it will strip the wax off. Who knows if it leaves any residue that might be a problem if you're applying fresh wax.

I have also chuckled about wax applications...but it was someone who was talking about applying '20 coats of wax'. From what I understand, you just can't do that! You're talking about applying something really soft to something really hard (acrylic urethane) and you just can't 'stack it up' on the paint.

You can't even measure the amount of wax you put on paint...it is that thin.
