I will NEVER hear the phrase "damn what a dirty car" while I am out driving. What I DO hear is "damn, that car is 8 years old? I thought it was brand new"

Keeper her clean is a good way of retaining the value of the vehicle apon selling or trade. I hate driving around with a dirty car even if it was a 1980 what ever.

ok , now we are getting somewhere...I vac, wipe wheels, clean glass weekly, but I only wash bi-weekly because I keep mine garaged. and being silver it catches less visible dirt.

any and all feedback is fine, sound off..

Here's the procedure I used to detail my C280:

1. Ajax - washed entire car
2. Blue Magic Clay bar kit
3. Nu Finish - one coat

before

AT First my heart raced when I read Ajax. Man I thought you used Ajax cleanser, you know Comet type Ajax.
I was freaking man!

I did not know Ajax was also dishwashing liquid. Whew!

But dang it your car is SUH-WEET looking!

I like an extra nasty car, getting cleaned, then detailed and then you stand
back and look at her all nice and purty looking.

Yep; NICE PHOTOS.
Nice Benz!

I wish I could park my car under some where. Southern Cali weather, though not as harsh as east coast, can cause alot of damage to the paint, and bird shit is the # 1 enemy to any car. I hate it, and at my complex we get alot of dust, and birds doing air rades constantly. I drive 90% hi-way 60+ miles a day 7 days a week, so road grime is another enemy of my paint. I have to constantly wash to maintain the presents of my car. Actualy I would like to just wash every 4 or 5 days, but I do it every 7 days.

Do you have a Quik Detailer product where you can just spray and wipe off bird droppings and dust? I have found them to be quite handy to get the dirt off the car quickly without having to wash the entire thing.

Ive never tried Ajax, apparently it works very well. But I can get a very nice shine to the car just by using regular soap and 30 min of washing.

I actually used to used laundry detergent...fill up the bucket with water and detergennt and swish my hand around in it until it dissolved before I washed the car, problem was, the detergent never fully dissolved and scratched the paint sometimes or left residue on it.
