The OFFICIAL "I'm Waiting for Warm Weather to Detail My Car" Thread

I just dropped $45 at Target yesterday on some detailing brushes, a car duster and some extra towels (can't ever have too many!). Now I am waiting for warm weather like a kid on Christmas Eve to detail the hell outta my car! Anyone else got this itch?

I have picked up a new Porter Cable and some pads, Menzerna PO85RD finishing polish, Optimum Compound, and I have refilled my Aquawax spray bottle from the gallon jug. Everything is a go EXCEPT the weather!!
The temperature is shooting down again this week

It was 58 degrees here in NJ on Saturday and I washed, clayed and waxed my '04 E-320 AWD (Obsidian Black). Loved every minute of it. By the way, I used Meguire's NXT wax and it was great.

It was 14 degrees this morning (Camp Hill, Pa). Happily, my garage is set to never drop below 60 degrees, so I wash and detail all winter long. Makes my co-workers crazy because the Benz is never dirty...

I tell 'em it's a special self-cleaning paint...

I too am waiting for the warmer weather. Up here in RI we've gotten more snow in March than we've had all winter long. And of course, on Saturday it was beautiful (about 62 degrees), so out came my wash products to do a quick wash. Then go figure...we were out later on that night with my freshly washed/cleaned car (Capri Blue/Ash '05 C230 SS), and it starts snowing !!!! Had about 3 inches on the ground by the time we got home. FIGURES !!!!

But I'm still waiting for the permanently warmer weather to come so I can finally order my full detail Zaino kit (the complete int/ext kit) and spend an entire Saturday working on my car.

My wife thinks I'm OCD with my cars. Just wait until she sees me with my C230.

I've never been so eager for Spring to arrive as I am now.

Glad I'm not the only one.
