Ask on the detailing forum at benzworld, you may get a quicker response. As for using Teflon (PTFE), it's just a gimic, if it truly worked the large companies like 3M, Turtle Wax, Meguiars, Eagle One would be doing it. For now I stick to using PTFE only on my frying pans and even though they have a good thick coat of it, they are not very shiny.
While working at Dupont, I can remember when they had a lawsuit against a car wax maker that was advertising that its products contain Teflon (PTFE), AND Dupont made a statement that Teflon has NOT been shown to have any benefit
when used in a car wax...However they now make many car products advertising that they contain Teflon, using the Dupont name. I know that they have since discovered that the 'BRAND Name of Teflon' was very valuable, and have since licensed many uses for it, from Nail Polish to car Wax. Some, but not all, of the products actually benefit the inclusion of Teflon.
