Can someone please advise what is the best and most effective cleaning agent for the interior of the car other than the leather seats ie. door handles etc.

It highly depends on what you want to clean, i.e. vinyl, plastic, glass, wood trim, carpets etc. Each material presents it's own unique requirements for proper cleaning.

To clean plastic and vinyl I use Simple Green on a terrycloth towel. Make sure all residue of the Simple Green is removed. You may have to wipe it with a damp towel a couple of times.

After cleaning, apply a good coat of either Vinylex or 303 Aerospace Protectant.
