OK, I understand that this is not a detailing question per se, but here goes:
Before I took off for Europe for my four week soccer trip, I parked my car in a friend's driveway in a posh neighborhood in Huntington Beach (short cab ride to LAX). Very nice of her, but then again - who wouldn't want a neoclassic w126 in their driveway at all times? (she drives a SL 55 AMG whip herself)
Now I got an email that my flagship is bleeding oil onto her driveway...I had the oil changed before making the drive up from SD and apparently, my grease monkey poured some oil down the motor block. At least I hope that's what it is. I told her to throw some kitty litter on it and put some cardboard down...kinda embarrassing but oh well.
Now, my question - what, if anything, works on oil stains on concrete? I'm imagining huge oil stains on the driveway and one pi$$ed off (ex) girlfriend on my hands upon my return.
I used a product by Castrol. I can't remember the exact name, but it's referred to as "The Purple Stuff". It comes in a container that looks like antifreeze, but it's a purple bottle. Just pour it straight on and use a scrub brush. The garage of my last house had been subjected to a 3 am meth-using mechanic before I’d moved in. One scrub took out all the oil and other substances that were on the floor.
Also Castrol sells an all purpose cleaner (also comes in an antifreeze container) that will do the job. You can dilute it for other jobs. Maybe it is the same product Prana25 mentioned, but the one I have comes in a white bottle.
If the stain does not come off with Castrol, try kerosene or muriatic acid. These two for sure will remove the stain. Be careful with the fumes.l

Thanks guys, that was more than I could hope for. I will grab some stuff on the way from the airport and hope that the driveway will be as good as new.
