Help ,,,, choking on the perfume.

My 190e has had some teenagers stinkin' perfume sprayed , or spilled in it , the smell has permeated all the fabric in the car . Smells like Linx.

I have washed it and washed it and steam cleaned it and sprayed on fabric cleaner and left the windows down for 3 months ,,,,, still stinks !

Next option is to sell the car ............[:(][:(][:(]

Has anyone found a product that will neutralise the phenols in the perfume , that's the bit that stuffs with my head.

RE: Help ,,,, choking on the perfume.

There are some order blockers out there like Fabreeze or Meguiars Odor Eliminator. Also, a powerful ozone generator is used to remove cigarette smoke smell from car interiors, may work for you....

How about burning a jar scented candle or a few hours--one wih a a neutral nice scent for a few hours. Yankee Candle makes some very good ones. Thy are designed to fight odors tht people do not want.

RE: Help ,,,, choking on the perfume.

I've tried the cut onions and I've tried the baking soda , to no avail.

I cannot add any more perfumed product , as I am alergic to them all. Yep even the "nice smelling " ones.

I found an ozone generator on "Trade Me".

Thanks for the suggestions guys . I will see if this toy helps any.

I would also recommend finding the girl who spilled it, put her nose in it like a dog who just $hit on your carpet, and TELL her NEVER to do it again.[:D]

Well , here we are in June and it still stinks , what an amazing product , so tenatious , I wish we could get a rust preventative that clings as well.

I'm just not using the car , cannot get anyone to buy it , so it sits in the back yard ...... might be a classic by the time it is useable again .

Try puting some Charcoal in a bowl, have about four bowls and put them at every corner of the car. Also squeeze lemon and put it in the bowl with the charcoals. This SHOULD work!

regards.
