Thanks. I will find the description, and will work carefully. It will be less scary and risky being a headlight.

I must not be explaining the condition very well. If you have a 20+ year old car with 100,000+ miles, you should know exactly what I am describing. These are not big visible pits, but micro-pits that occur over time and are only noticable when you look very closely. From a slight distance, it is barely a slight haze, not quite sparkling new. No type of patch would work.

Thanks again everyone. If wet sanding doesn't work, I will try the Eastwood system. I will also keep looking for a pro but I believe I have exhausted that option.

Other forums do explain it in great detail. I used the Audi forum but I know it's also been explained here.
I've heard of some trying to polish the windshield and leaving distortions across the glass so I would be very careful. Good luck!

You'll be amazing at what those filler guys can do, they always seem to trump being able to have insurance pay for it. I don't know why they rely on that marketing, but it seems to work for them out here. There's a guy who has a tent set up in a parking lot across from a local bank that's always busy doing his thing. One thing is for sure, he gets great exposure - he's right next to a prime road for people doing chores, commuting, etc... Just turn right into the lot and you're good to go.

Here is an example of the type of pitting I was trying to describe:

That glass lens in your example is very badly pitted.
The change in illumination on the road should be slight when operating that light.
If your windshield had that, then it would have to be changed.IMHO....because you're looking through it.
No polishing that I've ever heard of could successfully remove that much pitting.
Good Luck!

I know exactly what you mean and what you are experiencing.
I struggle to understand why people make things more difficult to
understand than it needs to be.
Your lens are old and are pitted.

My Lens are 8 years old. I have a small amount of pitting.
And its not noticeable to others but I hand wash my car and I notice things

You have a GLASS Lens are you are so lucky. These friggin' plastic lens nowadays are horrific in quality.

Meguiars Plast-X is excellent for polishing your plastic, glass lens and trim.
I use a Buffer with Plast-X and notice a big improvement. The bugs are gone.
The lens is smooth.
If you Glass is materially damaged, the only way I know you can partially restore
that is to Buff out the Glass with Cerum Oxide.
You have actual MISSING Glass material. It's below the surface.
Buffing it out with Cerum Oxide is the only thing that comes to mind.
If you do not want to get that involved, try the Plast-X and you might notice
a big improvement.
Hey; Good Luck!
