Would Meguiar's GoldClass Rich Leather wipes be good for my leather inserts?
Hello folks,
My 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan has leather inserts, i.e. leather on the central portion of the seats only and vinyl on the rest of the seats. I wonder if the Rich Leather wipes is suitable for conditioning the leather. You see, the leather inserts are not shiny to start with. They look kind of dull and ordinary, especially with the ash grey color interior. Would the Meguiar's Rich Leather wipes make the seats look too shiny and unnatural? I wonder if you can share your leather conditioning experience with me?
Also, can the leather wipes be applied to the vinyl portion as well?
Your input is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I did try the wipes on my BMW before I used them on my Benz. It gives the seats a richer look for the first couple of days while it it being absorbed in to the leather. On thing that impressed me was that it did not leave the leather with sticky feeling.

I've become a big fan of Zymol's leather cleaner and conditioner (separate products). Added plus is you can find them at most Target Stores. Nice rich finish, no oiliness.
After cleaning, I put the leather conditioner on using a rubber exam glove (so I'm rubbing it into the leather and not into a cloth) and let it sit for a while, then rub off the excess with a terry cloth that also buffs it a bit.

I actually used to use the Meguiar's wipes on my all leather seats and the 303 on the vinyl only but now use the 303 exclusively on the leather and vinyl. give me the same look without the greasy/oily look that the Meguiar's gave me. I also think the 303 is going to give additional uv protection. I wear a suit to work everyday so I didn't like th marks that the wipes used to leave on my suit pant legs either. Good Luck.

Hi AmericanPie,
Thank you for explaining what 303 is. I checked out their site. It's very informative and I know where to get it now.
Thanks again.

Hey JBEans:
Glad you were able to find it. I usually buy it online at autogeek.com. They usually run a sale on it once a month, free shipping or something. I love the stuff and it lasts a lot longer than the wipes. It doesn't have the same leathery smell that the wipes have, but I don't mind that. Good luck.

Turtle Wax offers a very good spray (this is not the creme product in a bottle) for leather. It's easy to work with and can be found in some auto parts stores. Nice leather odor and it's non-greasy. It's the only TW product I've ever used that I like.
Lexol is another old standby I've used for many years. Can usually be found at hardware stores and some auto parts stores. It's another spray on, dwell, wipe off type product.
