RE: Let's see your shine!

Hi all. I went to a body shop supplier and picked up this stuff made by MARK V Products, inc. It's a paint sealant with carnauba & polymer formula. It's a blue liquid when applied easily goes on and comes off with a microfiber towel. This product doesn't turn the rubber or plastic moldings white but rather protects and polishes the entire car.

RE: Let's see your shine!

Hi All, all of you have very nice shiny motors [;)]. Have any of you guys tried Zymol products and if so whats your thoughts on them. I am thinking of purchasing the Zymol carbon kit for the CLS but it is a tad of a waste of money.

RE: Let's see your shine!

If the post from Bullet Benz is directed to me then thanks[:)]. They are the AMG 19" Style II wheels, i think they are standard on the CLS55's in the states where as in Europe They are extra.

Bullet Benz Your car also is very nice and stupendously clean, what product do you use at present. Currently i am using autoglym products.

RE: Let's see your shine!

Here's my SLK350 after 5 1/2 hours of TLC [8D]

If there are any typos it's 'cos I can barely move my hands now - yes, all done by hand:

MB-supplied wheel cleaner
Meguiars tyre gel
Washed with Meguiars NXT
Dried with Meg ultimate drying towel, then damp and dry microfibre cloths around the doors, trunk & hood
Meg Clay
Meg Cleaner wax (last service MB "valeted" against my instructions and guess what - swirls[:(!] )
2 coats Meg NXT wax, with microfibre towels
Finsished with Meg Ultimate Shine Wipe

Going to crawl onto couch with a beer and watch the second season premiere of Doctor Who - occasionally it IS good to be British[:D]

Here's mine after getting wash, clay, polish (w/PC & optimum polish), and wax (w/ultimate paint protection).

My 420SEL after working on hood and rear deck with Porter Cable 7424 orbital, Presta 1500, Menzerna Glaze and Carnuba 23 wax. Side panels and roof next. Oh, I did clay the whole car, and then detail it with the full Menzerna kit--polish, glaze, sealer. Now in the fourth layer of detailing, working on paint swirls with PC Orbital. The finish is getting nice and deep looking. Not bad for a 15 year old car.
