RE: Won 1st and 2nd place in a car show

Tiggerfink, my paint surface feels a little rough, just a little but I'm really anal about that. Would you suggest clay barring it and polish followed by wax, even though the car is just a few weeks old?

I wish my wife could cook. Have to settle with her posing in the cars.

I used Meguiar's Gold Class car wash, Meguiar's Deep Crystal polish, and Meguiar's Gold Class wax. I applied the polish and wax with a Meguiar's orbital polisher.
Have you tried NXT I found it to be better and easier than gold class.

Ive found the gold class to be a little bit more difficult but i think its shine is awesome and IMO it protects better.

Use a duel action polisher. It makes life a lot better.

I have to confess. It was about 1 that night when I got done on my SLK320. I was tired and wonder how was I going to get my wife's car ready for the car show in 6 hours. So I water down the SL500 and I used Mequaris quick detail on my Wife's SL500. I wash, polish, and wax her SL500 about 2 months before the car show.

Here is my wife's friend. She is in her mid 30s and single.

Although I don't use that car wash, I do use Meguiar's Deep Crystal polish and Meguiar's Gold Class Clear Coat car wax, the best shine I've seen so far. No buffer, I use alot of elbow grease.
