RE: Best car wax??? I'm waxing my car tommorow which wax should I buy?
i tried all the products mentioned above and trust me nothing, i mean nothing can come close to FINISH FIRST products, the only place that i know that sells them is for my mercedes.com , i tried it once and now i'm hooked on it ,you leave it on for about 3 hours minimum and then you wipe it off, the shine i got from it is awesome, all my friends thought i got a paint job, then between car washes you can use FINISH FAST spray, and that bring out the shine even better, talk to jerry jones at for my mercedes . com , and once you try it i garentee that you won't use anything else ever again, it's a little pricy but it's worth every penny i paid for,

benzes have polyurethane paint, so I have used acrylic or polymer waxes with great success
my Andi is black and black can look CloUdy with many waxes - Klasse has been very good on both the AUdi and my brilliant silver SL 500 - topcoated with pure carnuba

Been using Zaino for about 7 years now - dabbled in others since then, but have always gone back to the Zaino stuff. Great shine and better durability. Follow the link for one of the reasons why I keep going back...

Why not give turtle wax a try??? I personally use Turtle Wax Hard Shell my car is over 10 years old and u can click my name and look at pictures of it i get great comments from people everywhere i go. The can of wax will not cost you more than 7 bucks i got mine for like 6 bucks. It beads like crazy and lasts up to 12 months even tho i wax my car every month still... I've used many products and seriously a lot of waxes are overrated just cuz they cost more ppl think they work better. Thats my 2 cents g luck

I think that any carnauba wax is good. Pure carnauba wax is meant to be used with other products such as a polishing compound, or when detailing for the first time a paint cleaner.
Cleaner waxes are a bit more abrasive and tend to clean and then protect, which is OK for people who have less time in their hands.
For me I've tried Mother's California Gold Carnauba Wax, but I got the cleaner type. I just got the pure Carnauba type, hopefully it's better (I'll be using it in tandem with a Meguiar's polish). So far so good, alot of my relatives have noticed it already. They said that before, the paint was dull but clean (since I cleaned it alot). But when I used Meguiar's Paint Cleaner, Polish and the first Mother's CG Carnauba wax mentioned above, that's when they commented and even asked me to clean their cars for them (with their help of course)!
I have a detailing book here that maybe my dad bought when he visited and just left it behind. It mentioned that paint cleaner is the one that cleans the paint, removes oxidation and stuff. It is abrasive. Then polish will make it shine and you could use a sealer like Meguiar's to give it that glossy effect. Then last layer is protection using carnauba wax.
