trim paint for dash

I did a search here on trim paint and found nothing that I am looking for. I would like to get trim paint for my dash in my SLK320. The local Mercedes dealer has only touch up paint for the outside of the car.

RE: trim paint for dash

Mercedes will try to paint the trim first before it gets replace. The dash area on the side facing the door is scuff up. The dealer even tried to paint the trim under my roll bar before the dealer replace the trim on my 2004 SL500 last week. I think it is a new policy. How do you get the color code on the trim like the dash?

www.leatherworldtech.com

They have EXACT color match vinyl and leather dye for Mercedes. I used their dye on my SLK230 vinyl and it worked perfectly.

Here is the link to their color match chart for MB

For the interior vinyl you will need both the dye and the dulling agent.

RE: trim paint for dash

My guess it is a standard MB colorcode, but my guess is that it is not listed on the body plate...

I'd call the MB customer service number and find out from them. They were the people who figured out if my dash was mb-tex or leather..

RE: trim paint for dash

Well, a I learned someting today. I found out that Merceds customer support does not know the paint color on the dash. They did gave me the trim color family code for my car. It is also in the service booklet of your car. 211 is the trim color group code for my SL500. 744 is the paint color for the out side.

The information below should be in your service booklet in German.

30 Ausstattung 211
31 Lack/L-Zus.1 744
