rubbery, round-spot gunky substance always found on rims after driving 1-2 weeks
anyone know what this stuff is, ever since I took delivery of the auto back in April it always this gunky, rubbery almost tar-like substance after driving for 1-2 weeks. The substance always forms round spots on the rims also.
Simple Green or Meguiars or MPC Multi-Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser(http://www.*************.com/wheelcare.asp)
I went ahead and bought that Metal Protector per Drew, but now I would like to know which one of these products would be better to clean rims and would limit alot of scrubbing on a regular basis. My rims get pretty gunky, like tar for example if I don't clean them every week and it takes about an hour or more weekly to clean all 4 rims which is ridiculous. So what I wanted to know is what product is easier to take this stuff off especially since I live in cold WI winters where time scrubbing wheels doesn't exist when it's 0 degrees outside. I will take someone's advice and not use White Lightning which is acid-based even though my MB dealer uses it everyday on $100k cars they wash in their auto detail section.
