Black 86 300E

Due to the handy work of some jerk in the parking lot, I am now shopping for a touch-up pen for my car. I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the paint code on my car. I think the 86 300E had two choices of black so I want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Paint Colors..

I have no idea about the paint colors or codes. If the paint is original, you can proably check the door plates and they may have it posted somewhere on there, alot of manafacturers do.
I would contact the pen company, they will most likely be of the best help to you.

Plain ole black is 040. Black Pearl Metallic Clearcoat is 199. There should be a tag either on the driver's door post or on the radiator support directly in front of the filler cap. If you have the tag on the door the paint code should be the three digit number in the lower right corner. If you have the tag on the radiator support there may be several three digit numbers. Only one of them is the paint code, and I don't know which one it is.
