I really can't figure out what to do about this trim.
Though it is now nearly 12years old, it is still in pretty good nick, but I am looking for a safe way to remove what kinda looks like waterstains (wax stains maybe?) that won't respond even to Autosol metal polish. Maybe the chrome has just surface died or something.
Any suggestions please?

If metal polish wont even do it, I dont know what to tell you. Maybe try a diluted vinegar solution. If they are water marks, this could help rid them for you.
