Ron started working on my car as a dealer service rep in 1988 when I purchased my new 88 BMW 235i Cab. In 1993 he left the dealership and started his own shop and I followed him over. I am in his hands once again as of March of 2008 when I purchased my 73 450SL. You won't find a better shop than this anywhere in the valley. Reasonable shop rates as well.

With a staff of 6 highly trained technicians your needs will be attended to in a reasonable time, and if you have a more vintage vehicle such as mine, he will go out of his way to put someone on the car that has familiarity with it. Parts are seldom a problem due to his extensive resources in Canada, the US and Germany and in some cases depending on vintage he has sources for good quality used parts (sometimes it just can't be done any other way).

I give him a 5 Star rating!

I agree, he was my mechanic in 2000 on my 1996 325i BMW, since I worked in abbotsford it was very convenient. I sold the car and changed jobs 2 years later. I admit, he was very professional and knew his stuff. I now have purchased a 05 E320 4Matic, and after the warranty runs out, I will go see him.

I bought a 300SD Turbodiesel and then thought about service, after a few months I found Tom at CZR, he is European trained and loves a good diesel, very chatty and simply a good guy. He works on mostly VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and is training for Porshe, he will even work on your Skoda! The part I liked was his attention to detail, spotting incorrect parts put in by DIYers and the check he does every time you bring it in, checks all fluids, air pressure and a hands on / visual of the whole thing... oh and my motor came back clean as a whistle, very nice...
Now it runs smoother, quiter and better fuel economy and starts better good enough, I say.
And the kicker? Free pick up / delivery with his trailer and , drum roll please, $40 per hour! seriously! well worth the trip to langley, just off 200th Street.

I just had to share this, a great find, Tom's #604-250-9387

edit; I noticed he likes to use aftermarket parts but they are made in Germany, a little bit cheaper yet the same high quality, good and good.

Many thanks for this tip. I have been looking for a good shop to take my 140s' to. I live in Tsawwassen and have yet to find a good mechanic to work on my cars. I will definately give him a call when I return home in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. El Prez

I took my car to them for 3 times for the same problem. Only figured it out the third time, after mis-diagnosis (on my $) and many headaches. After that, the car ran ok, (not fine, it's still a little rough) and I found my air filter out of place - intake was not all the way tucked back to the front of the car, in front of the grille and had NO (zero) screws to hold anything there - all gravity. Expensive people and for that money they should be waaay more careful and knowledgeable.

Im not sure they are good or not. But I just remember one thing. The last owner of my car used to be bring the car to them to do the maintain. After I got the car. I found out. They use the GREEN coolant, that the engine not suppose to be using it. After I found out, I flush the system and changed back to Pink coolant that i got it from dealer.

If they really a "Mercedes Benz Specialists" , I think they will know coolant that simple thing of that car is not suppose to use Green colour one.

Hi El Prez,

I take my 1991 560 SEL to John's Thistle Auto in Ladner. They've been doing a great job on inspections, tune up and repairs. Getting the job done with great care, good quality, active communication and keeping cost down.

Speak to Phil Breton at (604) 946-6626 if you want to check them out.

Cheers,

Martin
