Yeah sorry about this guy Tom, turns out his word means nothing and his mechanical ability is highly suspect, sorry for the red herring.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LIKE I DID!

Hi guys. Yeah, it didn't work out at all. I eventually went to Langley yesterday to pick up my second W140, so now have both my cars back home in Tsawwassen. Tom seems a great guy but because of some problems with his "home garage" nothing was done with either of my cars for over two months. I will now definately get hold of Thistle Motors in Ladner which is much closer! Thanks anyway for all the heads up, unfortunately sometimes they do turn out to be red herrings! I would really be interested in contacting and getting together with fellow W140 owners in the Delta/Richmond areas. Anyone else interested?

Went into Thistle Motors today and unfortunately they told me straight up (I like their honesty) that they are not familiar with the W140 Series at all. So back to the drawing board. Sometimes I think it is better to try to do all the work on these cars yourself!

Well, I suspect the dealers in Canada are using the right engine oil on our Mercedes. I don't see any of them using 0W40 from mobile 1.

anyone tried the backyard guy by Edmonds and Robert Burnaby park? Maybe on 19th I think in Burnaby?
well I did find that working on your own car is not very hard, for most things and when you work on your own car you can go the extra mile and do a very nice job, just take your time...
and it's fun!

Well, if you have the tools, you can actually do most of the job. When it comes to working on the drivetrain, you mostly need a hoist and some powerful impact.

At some point, I want to get a MaxJax in my garage. But heck! It is a 3000 dollar investment.

Hi crazypotato,
I've been taking my ML320 to Henneken for a couple of years now and have been quite happy with the him. He's not cheap, but I've been satisfied with the quality of the work done.
