Custom Angel Eyes

I took apart my headlights , painted the chrome pieces all black . After that I put hid lights in the high beams since I knew that I would lose light output . I upgraded from 35w ballast/bulb to 55w setup which makes a big improvement in the low beams . I know it looks very much like a BMW but I real liked the angel eyes on the BMWs for years now. Also I know the picture shows that the driver's side angel eyes looks like its missing a part of it on top but its not the case , its the angle of the photo. By the way they are hooked up to the parking lights , and also are on when the low beams have been turned on as well.

That looks the business buddy, what size rings did you need?

I did exactly this to my MK1 Audi TT roadster including painting the internals gloss black and although it was quite a lot of work it was very effective.

Cheers

Thanks guys for the great responses. Taking apart the lights is not really hard its just time consuming . As far the ring sizes I have to find exactl link where I bought them from . Also when mounting these rings to the internal headlight housing you have to use a silicone to keep them in place. The angel eyes rings had 3M tape backing on them but with the hot/cold weather I didn't want to deal with them falling off and having to take apart the headlights again. I am thinking of doing another set of these lights and selling them on ebay or on here , same color combination.

Looks AWESOME! Although you should invest in the AMG front bumper, all those upgrades and you forgot the most important!
