For the heating/ventilating filters on my 2003 Cl500:
1.Remove the glove compartment.
2.Unlock the locking slide upwards and remove the cover from the A/C housing.
3.Pull both dust filters out of the housing.
The Bosch part number is P3651 for a set of two filters.
For the activated charcoal filter:
1.Remove right cover below the instrument panel.
2.Pull back the right floor covering.
3.Move the sliding lock and remove the cover.
4.Remove both activated charcoal filters downwards out of the AC housing.
5.Activated charcoal filters must not be cleaned but should always be replaced.
Not to suggest I would go to the trouble to remove, clean, and reinstall a dirty filter, but I am curious why? I assume when cleaning the filter the charcoal is also removed, thus ruining the filter?
