Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a 2003 CLK320 and I am going to change trans. fluid. I know the dipstick tube is at the back and only really accessible when the air filter cover is removed.
Keyhole has asked this before but I can't see an answer anywhere.
If you remove the air filters to get access do you run the car engine without them in place to check the fluid level,or is there some other way? Will the engine run ok with the cover removed? or do you somehow fit the dipstick with the cover in place?
Thanks.
Many thanks to Rodney for his previous advice on choosing a 320 or a 240.
