2007 CLK350 convertible (Bi-Xenon lights). When I start the car the headlights go through their little down then up to proper setting. Sometimes the left (driver side) headlight stays in the down postion, the right has never done this, the left is hit and miss. Any ideas or solution?

Start simple - check the wiring harness to make sure it;s on tightly and not corroded. Otherwise, it sounds like a bad servo, and I am not sure that can be fixed except for replacing the entire headlight.

It sounds like the HRA adjustment motor that tilts the Bi-Xenon lamp is sometimes faulty. Has water ever penetrated this unit?

The motor is driven from the headlamp control unit located at the bottom of the Bi-Xenon headlamp assembly. WIS drawings show how this small control unit can be removed/replaced, but I am not sure if this, or the motor, are MB spare parts.
