is this happening without the wipers being turned on? or are the wipers on and then when they start wiping, the horn goes off? or is it when you honk the horn the wipers wipe automatically without the wipers being turned on? be more specific.
with the wipers off and him NOT hitting the horn driving down the road straight and touching nothing the wipers will cycle twice and the horn will honk once there is no pattern other than that
hmmm...that's fishy...i had a problem with my horn going off by itself a couple months ago, but that was because there was a washer that needed to be replaced inside my steering column. there could be a mechanical issue that is setting both the horn and the wipers to activate automatically. i would recommend you take this problem to your local benz dealer to have them diagnose the problem. i've never heard this happening before with the wiper...please post the diagnosis if you do figure it out! thanks and good luck!
I have never had random horn sounding, and this fault must be associated with a problem on the steering wheel horn connections.
Now and again I have had random wiper operation while driving, and I used to call it a 'glitch'. However I then found that MB know that with light/rain sensors there can be random wipes due to sunlght effects on the rain/light sensor. The wiper switch must be in Pos 1 for that to occur.
the customer did have it in position one and he also has 3M Crystalline 90% on his windshield which will make the light refract diff. Good call key hole
