Seatbelt Caddie (feeder) reset???

Hi,
I own a 2004 (W209) CLK-55 AMG droptop. When I purchased the car, the passenger side electric seatbelt caddie was working intermitently. I took it to the dealer and they (obviously) charged me like $100+ to "reset" it. I know that there are many easy resets you can do in 30 seconds (like the electric window reset by holding the switch up for 20 sec's and then down).
Now my drivers side electric seatbelt caddy isn't working and the fuses are all good. Is there a way you can "reset" these? Do I really need to got the the "stealership" to have it fixed?

mturanny, Thanks for the info!
I think $150 is not too much to spend for a manual of this type. Have a great one!
