Locking Wheel nuts in AMG alloys.
Good morning All,
I've running out of time and patience with this so hopefully the geniuses on this forum will have the resolution.
I've got a 1999 CLK with 17inch AMG alloys. Each corner has a locking wheel nut (the type that is circular with a deep groove the shape of a flower cut into the middle). Now, it seems that the front pair is a different set to the back pair. I have the key to the back pair but not the front. Halfords sell a tool to extract locking nuts but they wont fit into the wheel nut recess (it's quite deep and narrow).
None of the local garages can help, nor the tyre fitters. Some have offered to brutalise it off but cannot guarantee that the wheel will not be damaged. I'm a member of the RAC and thought this might be right up their street - they are not willing to listen as it's not a break down situation.
I have an mot booked in the next few weeks and I'm sure that the front tyres are very near or at their limit, you may also remember that I need to get at the front nearside wheelspeed sensor.
Any ideas of how I can do this or the tool that I need?
