All-
Check engine light leads to MAF. Is this a "owner" replaceable part or does it require going to service? Car OK on mileage, but seems to have lost some "oomph" but at certain RPMs, literally feels like a turbo kicked in. Any help or thoughts?
If you havent already fixed this... DEFINITELY check into the CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it will save you alot of money and time and labor!
and it turns out that it is a VERY COMMON problem in most cars... and my mechanic said specifically for mercedes... our CLKs
Hmm, I don't have my check engine light on. But wonder if that is the same prob I have. Mine is the say way with that "turbo feel" has no oooomph but all the sudden sometimes it will just (after a few second delay) kick you back in your seat. Its really weird. Is that what he MAF sensor can do?
You guys should all try to clean the MAS/MAF with the CRC MAF cleaner. It very easy to remove the MAS. It take about 10 second to remove the air box and MAS.
Mine was just replaced under my extended warranty ($600+ for parts/labor).
