Ouch! That's pretty harsh. I think the car is fantastic and looks great. While the rear could have undergone better treatment, I think all-in-all Merc did a great job overall.

Yes, I find the design of the E coupe very attractive and aggressive. In many ways I see like an evolution from the CLS lines, which is now near the end of cycle and started the trend of the 4 dour coupes....after 5 years competitors are starting to catch up launching similar models.

I think the new E class coupe is OK. It's more aggressive looking than the outgoing CLK. The new E class sedan? Nah, I'll take the older design.

I gather you are referring to the way C207 looks - but you are probably right in more ways
than this. I took delivery of my E550C 4 weeks ago and have had incessant problems with
electronics. Build quality is bad (e.g. seat belt caddy just came off the extendable arm,
seat belt sensing module failed with in a week etc. ) and the interior materials are cheap.
The seats are hard and uncomfortable. This is not even thinly disguised overpriced C class.
Imagine it costs as much a C63 AMG, or Audi S5.
