I am leaving Barrie, Ontario, Canada June 24, 2008...driving across Canada with a few stops along the way. A couple of days in Vancouver / Vancouver Island and then down the coast to San Fran where my wife will fly in to meet me for a couple of days. Then continue South to LA and surrounding areas for a couple more days to visit with my SL friends. Then continuing on to Hoover Dam and such...Grand Canyon etc before hitting Vegas. My wife MIGHT meet me there for a couple of days.
Then ...on...

I was going over my finances today. Didn't take long 'cause I got none. It must be hell being wealthy and all the extra work that goes along with it.
I have an uphill battle if I am going to pull this trip off. I promised myself that I wouldn't leave with any personal debt (i.e. credit card). I also need to buy new shoes and a new hat for the SL. Christmas is coming, my tired Civic has 380,000Kms on it, one kid in braces...the other not far behind...the list goes on.
Do you think lottery...

I am thinking of the last week of June and the first three (maybe four) of July.
How does that work for everyone?
I will take a week to drive to Vancouver where my wife will fly in with the kidz. We will do some visiting and then I will proceed to California. My wife will then fly to San Fransisco to meet me for some site seeing. She will then return to Toronto where a week later she will fly to Vegas and meet me for some debauchery.
As you might surmise, my wife does not like...

I need to do this on the cheap. Cheap.
I am off to a good start. I got free maps of Canada, USA and California.
All I need now is free places to stay (hint) and free gas.

The idea is to drive from Toronto to Vancouver (and Victoria) down to California, over to Vegas and back to Toronto. Stopping at all the good stuff along the way and meeting fellow Benz owners. In 28 days.
