I have bought a Vito 111CDi that used to be a police van (Strathclyde Police) and plan to convert it into a camper.
This is the second van that I have converted to a camper, my existing Vito will used as a source for all the camper bits (e.g. heater, sink, swivels).
I was dissatisfied with the quality of my workmanship on my first van and plan to make a much better job this time!

1st trip away... Posted 09-14-2009 at 09:09 AM by adamuk
Took the van to Solfest (Solfest) and then a week in Cornwall - so far so good. The fridge lasts a long time on the leisure battery so I am pretty pleased with that. This must justify the compressor fridge alone. Anyway, heres some pix of it with the cushions in it. Just the cabinet doors to do and the lino then the under seat cubby holes to sort out then the inverter to get sorted then it's a done deal!! Only took me 7 months!

Kitchen units in and seat. Posted 08-27-2009 at 03:42 PM by adamuk
Here you go. The plumbing's finished. I had to upgrade the water pump from a 20psi 7l/min to a 30psi 10l/min pump so the rinnai water heater wouldn't trip out but it pumps out some really nice hot water now though the flue's got to go in so it'll be for demo purposes only.

Kitchen units half fitted Posted 08-17-2009 at 09:58 AM by adamuk
Here you go. smev should really provide a template for their cookers - took flippin forever to do. All the bends and curves of the van make fitting things square a pain.

Here you go.. Made the brackets myself and put bolts through the floor. Looks okay but a bit visible as it's so blue.
