Can anyone advise me whether there is a way to increase the idle / tick over on these models.

Mine is idling at 500rpm (it always has done)which causes things like the air-box to rattle. More frustrating than anything as, whe I rest my foot on the throttle slightly, everything goes nice and quiet which is spoiling what is otherwise a superb car/van.

It has no faults (to my knowledge) and I think the idle ia preset by the ECU and cant be adjusted but would have thought...

i have a 1998 Mercedes c230. Every night when i close from work and on my way home my gears does not change from the first to the second.i have to stop the car turn it off then start it again before it works fine.this only happens at night when its cold.thanks
