i have a 2005 e320 4matic that needs brakes (rotors and pads). i was told that aftermarket brakes are fine and will not affect my warranty. any advice on aftermarket products and the right brand?

Point of order, the "BenzWorld Help" forum is for help with the forum itself, not with your car. If you navigate over to the 211 forum -- the one that is specific to your car -- you'll find lots of help.

FWIW, you can put aftermarket parts on but it does indeed void the warranty on the brakes. Not that there is much warranty on them anyway, wear parts are not part of the warranty. And if you are thinking of DIY please do read up on the SBC system, we'd like you to keep all of the fingers with which you entered life.
