Smile STAR Diagnosis/Coding in Victoria?

Hi there,

I need a few modules on my car coded via the STAR tool, however when I ask the dealers they have no idea what i'm on about

Purchased a Comand 2.0 unit for my car, and as part of the initial setup, i need the unit programmed via the STAR.

Can anybody recommend somebody with a STAR diagnostic tool? or does anybody have a tool they can help me out with?

I'm down in Victoria.

Cheers

I bought a Comand 2.0 for my car, and had it programmed by the dealer. Perhaps you are asking the wrong question. Try "Can you please configure my Comand 2.0?" followed by "It's a retrofit."

My dealer ripped me off, but they got the job done. The bill included R&I headunit, which wasn't necessary because I connected the wiring myself. However, because they had actually done the R&I, I didn't argue.

Hi there,

Thanks for that, i'll give it a shot.

Where did you get your GPS antenna from? I can't find one to work with my unit, I've tried 2 and they don't seem to work.

Stumbled on this old thread. I got mine from an MB dealer in Hamburg who used to run an eBay store. I bundled it with a bunch of other parts to make it worthwhile. That was back in '06. I have since found a US MB dealership that exports directly to your door, so I use them now.
