Garage
I can say from experience that Star Garage in Mona Vale and EuroStar in Greenacre are both great to deal with.

Nathan at Star Garage has been looking after my CLK320 for the past 3 years including regular servicing, repairs and fitting the Eibach/Bilstein suspension upgrade. Always gives good expert advice and no-nonsense. Will not do any work that is unnecessary and always reasonable with prices.

EuroStar did a couple of pre-purchase inspections for me before and they did thorough checks and reports. In one case, I did not buy the car as they picked up some issues that were not obvious.
Hope this helps.

Greedstar at Greenacre!

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Eurostar at Greenacre. Yes, they are knowledgeable but you will eventually pay-too much! I was ripped off on a simple 'A' service on my last visit, having used them for a few years. The overcharging was subtle and gradual until....BANG! Familiarity certainly breeds contempt. Avoid like the plague.

recommend Mercedes mechanic

I'm Recommending Platinum Automotive Care in Pagewood. Ph 93168382
I have been using them for 6 years on all my previous mercs and BMWs.
They use Autologic scan tools and were able to sort out problems for my mates E200 quickly.
I feel easy in taking it too them while my new merc E250 is under warrantee.
They pride themselves on servicing the customer. Cant praise them enough on the help they have given to me in the past.

I've been going to Platinum Automotive Care for all my Mercedes servicing needs. They have a great service centre. Wouldn't consider anyone else.

Hi everyone I am Shaun from Frendo Mobile mechanic. I am a Mercedes-Benz specialist with 12 years factory trained experience. Ive decided to go into business on my own due to the fact i know alot of customers are not happy with dealerships and paying through the roof. I service all areas of Sydney so no matter what suburb its ok and work after hours so thats fine. I charge reasonable good prices such as "a" services at $220 and "b" services at $400, as most of you know dealerships charge double of that. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me 0432213163.

First post, so here goes ...

Never owned a Merc before but now am the proud owner of a 2010 E500 Cab, with just 22,000 kms on the clock.

My first impression of ALL the Sydney dealerships (Parramatta, Sydney, Mosman, and East Sydney) is that they seem to have forgotten who the customer is.

I've also found that any problem or request is diagnosed by VIN and invariably "computer says no".

I don't mind paying money for valuable work - I race an old classic in tarmac rallies and it sets me back 5 figures a year. But it shits me to tears when I walk into a glamorous showroom dedicated to selling cars and little concern for anything else.

SO - I'm after a good mechanic who will treat me well and not waste my time. The Star guy in Brookvale sounds good because that's where my Porsche guy is.

Does he have Star Diagnostics? What even is Star Diagnostics? Do I need it?

Anyway look forward to being part of this forum.

Cheers and Beers.
