Hi ML sorry for the late reply. Mine is an 01. Recently the fuel pump died when I was at pyrmont fish market enjoying some beautiful fresh oysters etc, then it started to rain n the car wouldnt start. Had NRMA tow truck towed to Jamal. Cost me 1k to put new fuel pump n also fuel filter. 

Had the car back on road after 2 working days. I think the price is reasonable unless someone else think its 2 expensive?

I found a great place, it's in Bondi Junction, S & I Automotive Services on Bronte rd, near Westfield. The workshop is amazing! It's the cleanest shop I've seen, and owner if a great friendly guy. The equipment all looks new and up to date and they look to know how to do things the right way rather than the usual mechanic's mess of a shop.He even had the specific MB tool on hand to insert W126 lower ball joint. He's not exclusively Mercedes, he even had a WWII 1942 army jeep in there with the crank out. I've been to a few good Mercedes independents, but my experience is that they're not the most easy people to deal with and aren't very flexible, or just awkward to deal with. These guys are really nice! They helped me out when I took in all my W126 suspension components and pressed in new bushes and ball joints for me, for a good price and didn't have a problem with odds and ends. They also had an awesome electronic engine oil dispensing system that the owner designed! Here's the site http://www.sandiauto.com.au/ If you're around Westfield Bondi Junction, it's just up from SuperCheap Auto, take a look and you'll be impressed.

I can second this post.
Serge has my W124 running beautifully and 10 degrees cooler.

Has anyone used MercTalk or European Vehicle Repairs for their CDI servicing?

Also, I just came across Platinum Car Servicing in Pagewood. Keen to know if anyone has tried these guys also.

Both my C220cdi and R320cdi are coming due for service.

W126 560SEC guy

Hey everyone

Does anyone have a guy who knows anything about the 560SEC ?

I have been to a number of guys now and none know how to get mine running right. Seems like I know more about it than them !

Someone in Northwest Sydney would be awesome.

Thanks guys

I have only just joined forum and seen your comment re Northwest Sydney mechanic. I have ML270 and also BMW and my guy at Castle Hill has been good with both my vehicles. Anthony Jensen (JTP Automotive) 02 9680 9053. He is a one man band, looks after some fleet vehicles MB, Audi, BMW etc and also dabbles in hot rods so is very knowledgable. Cheers GH
