Hi All,

I've got w202, 722.6 transmission with 2-3rd gear slip/flare, wonder if anyone had this issue before and manage to fix them without changing the gearbox.

I've read around in the forum and it seems there is a couple of thing that can be done first (valve spring replacement, bowden cable adjustment, vacuum line replacement) before going all the way with new gearbox.

Would appreciate any recommendation for mechanics who will do this, and I have been to Harindra and EC Mercedes and 1 other mechanic, and they all suggest new/2nd hand gearbox.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Who I would recommend.

Service European - Tim.
German Automotive.
Bill brown If you can find him.

As far as engine machining goes you have two options, Taylor automovie or Perry on the shore.

The two south african boys out south are very good on newer mercs, I forget what they call themselves.

I myself I know the W116, W126, W123, W124, W202 and W140 cars like the back of my hand and supply parts/fitment/diagnosis.

Auckland NewZealand.

Hi. Besides LLyod, are there any mecahnics in Hamilton, NZ that you would recommend. Good value and cheap/reasonable price with good customer focus.
