I'm installing a DAB+ adapter from Dension, which has a SMB female antenna connector. (The female/male description is a bit unusual though, I thought males had the pointy end :P )
I'm planning to connect this to my TV-antenna connector, as analog TV is long gone here, and it uses the same VHF-III frequencies.
On the TV-tuner there is a 4-in-1 connector which I've heard is a "WICLIC" connector, but it looks an awful lot like FAKRA, which I again believe is SMB with a fancy plastic housing.
At the right:
So am I correct to assume I'm dealing with SMB in both ends here? IMHO this does not look like a WICLIC connector, but I can't be sure.
As the 4-in-1 antenna connector is a bit weird, the plan is to use a small 6" adapter cable from the Dension DAB+ unit to one of the antenna connectors. I believe it's two sets of diversity antennas from the TV side, I just need to find one that is vertical for my DAB+ (one of the two center ones if I read this image correctly, TV2/TV3: )
I know this is a bit outside the typical questions here, but at least maybe someone can help me identify the connectors?
A FAKRA SMB-C to SMB male adapter really seems close to what I need:
IMO the blue FAKRA connector is very similar to the TV-tuner plugs, although I might have to modify the plastic housing a bit, and maybe secure with heat shrink or similar. The "male" SMB plug should fit the Dension DAB+G "female" SMB plug.
I appreciate any help to identify which connector I'm looking for at the antenna side.
