I'm planning on connecting up a Raspberry Pi to my E-Class (2014 W212) using the Pi's composite video out. I want to use it as a XBMC media server and using it to Airplay my iPhone to.

Does anyone know which poles should carry video and ground on a 3.5mm jack that will be plugged into the AUX media interface cable on a NTG 4.5?

The poles for the Raspberry Pi are here: Raspberry Pi Model B+ 3.5mm Audio/Video Jack

Any help or details of previous experiences would be greatly appreciated.

After a weekend of playing with a multi-meter I can now answer my own question.

---------------
|XXXXXXXXX|----------------------------------------
|XXXXXXXXX| Ground | Video | Right | Left |
|XXXXXXXXX|----------------------------------------
---------------
Pole 4 (base) = Ground
Pole 3 = Video
Pole 2 = Right
Pole 1 (tip)= Left

I've attached a colour diagram of the MI2 Aux connection and other devices such as the Raspberry Pi.

Hope this helps.
