2001 c320 radio problems
I have a 2001 c320 and need help with a couple of things. First there is a problem with the radio, there is now sound not even a hiss from the speakers. All the displays on the radio work except when you turn the volume knob it does no indicate any changes, it also will show no CD changer when there is one installed. Would the amplifier be the issue or could it be something else. One other thing, how do I get rid of the SOS set up message everytime I start the car? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have the Sound system amplifier (Bose/premium sound) in the car? Sounds like the D2B fibre bus is broken, possibly because of an issue at the amplifier or the CDC.
The Tele-Aid system can be version coded "out" which would make the message disappear. You would have to visit a dealer or an independent who has Star diagnosis tools.
