The CD radio in my MB E300 estate has frozen and will not respond to button commands. It happened when my son changed the radio from the CD function to the radio. It selected Radio 2 for itself and played static for a short while before nothing coming from the speakers. It will not now change function, turn off or respond to any command and even taking the security section off will not change the display. Have considered removing radio fuse to reset it but am unsure of which fuse is correct and where it is located (already found fuse box in engine bay on left side). Any one who has experienced similar problems or has any advice is welcome to reply.
A10 radio with CD changer. Changed from playing CD's to FM radio,
tuned to BBC R2 ----- Radio stopped resonding.
1) Tried taking fuse out of Fusebox.
2) Tried taking control face off (little button to left of cassette)
3) Tried pressing on/off button, several times
4) Switched Ignition key Off/On several times.
Will not change station or any volume coming out on R2 already selected??
Radio still left in ON state with BBC R2 station identifier on LCD screen.
?????????????????
Still 14K until next service.
Thanks
David

You mean S210, that would be 210.225. But I would like to have your car VIN, the wiring has changed in the middle of 1999.
Is this a face-lift S210? When you say you pulled the fuse, does it only have one fuse for the radio (depends on the build date)?
It could be a CAN bus issue if the car is from the second half of 1999 or it might even have lost model specific coding where it would need to be recoded by Star.
