I am considering switching my Blackberry 8310 for the new iPhone, and one of the major considerations is whether it will integrate as well with the bluetooth adapter in my S500. Specifically,
1. It is very quick for me to turn on/off the bluetooth connection on the BB. Is it fast on the iPhone?
2. When a call comes in or I initiate one, the radio mutes and the phone goes through the mic/speakers. I assume this is a function of the BT adapter, but obviously this is a must so I want to make sure the iPhone will perform similarly.
3. Will the address book download into Comand as it does now?

Thanks
I would expect the second generation iPhone having the exact same BT functionality as the first generation one, should be fine with the MB BT set-up then.
But why do you want quick access to BT on/off? I have BT always active on my phone, no significant power consumption increase and I have not seen any success to break the BT security on my phone. Is there some other reason?

The main reason is that when my car is in the garage it is still in range of my phone and the BT link stays on. If someone calls, it rings in the car and I can't answer it in the house.

OK, I did not list that issue because I would disconnect the BT connection from the car instead of turning BT off from the phone if I had that problem. But I understand owners having different preferences here.
