have just bought an SLK R170 and retro fitted parking sensors however, now noticed the cental locking isn't working. Not sure if it was working when I bought it to be quite honest and the parking sensors maybe a red herring. I've tried syncronising as per handbook and battery Fobs are ok.
The doors unlock with the door locking switch and keys. Any ideas / help most welcome.
Did you install the MB OEM Parktronic or some after market sensors? If after market, you should explain which parts of the car (other than the bumpers or at least rear bumper) you worked on.
If it was the OEM set-up, you might have disconnected/broken the remote key antenna when installing the Parktronic display.
