I have a 1998 E 240 Elegance Saloon. The problem is starting the car. There seems to be no electrics, even though I have fitted a new battery. The alarm does not work and when I insert the key - it does not turn.
Any ideas ?

Sounds like a drive authorisation issue, if you have power in the battery. Have you tried with the other key?
