I searched and couldn't find a thread for my problem. I'm using the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module on my 2007 E350 and a Palm Centro.
On calls I can hear the other person with no problems. However, most of the time the other person complains that my voice cuts out real bad. The phone book doesn't always sync as well. Sometimes it does, sometimes it's missing some #'s and other times nothing.
Not sure if the 2 problems are related. Quite frankly I'm more concerned about the cutting in and out. Any advise? Thanks!!!!!!
I don't have the latest list of compatible phones for the MHI Bluetooth interface, but according to the list I currently have the Palm Treos (or Palm Centro) are not listed as being fully compatible / integrating with the US spec MHI BT interface.
Also, echoing sounds is one of the most common issues when using a Mercedes Bluetooth interface: the other party often hears echoes.
Not sure if the cutting in and out you are 'suffering' from are related to the fact that your phone isn't listed as being compatible, or that it can be related to the usual echoing sound some people hear.
Just got back from the 4th. Thanks for the info! I did some testing while on the road. It seems there isn't the cutting out when I turn the volume down on my phone all the way. Not sure if this is a solution or not. Does it have any logic to it?
I have 6 BT installed in my 7 cars. Some of them has some level of echo no matter what. These range from Lexus factory, Nokia, Sony/Ericsson, Parrot branded units. So this is not only limited to MB BT.
