What year is your car?
What continent (at least) do you live on? It makes a difference in what electronics are in your car.
What are you using to "hook up" your iPod?
What feature of your iPhone doesn't work? Music, or telephony?
Have you searched the forum for "iPhone" to see if anyone else has experienced the symptoms you haven't told us about?

It is a 2008 and its in the USA. Im using the same cord i tried for the iphone. Its just the basic cord you buy from best buy to hook ipods up to your car. The iphone has the same hook-up. Its the music that doesnt work. The telephony work fine, except fpr the fact that i can not enter contacts for some reason. I have done a few searches, but its mostly poeple talimg around the question. Thank you very much!

So I don't have an iPhone, but my brother does - as I recall, a standard mini-stereo cable - like the one you use with an iPod - won't work, as the connector on the iPhone is recessed. He ended up with a Belkin "iPhone" mini-stereo cable to hook in into the AUX on his Mazda, I suspect the same cable would work with your AUX input....
Very cool that you took the time to answer this. you were the first person i have been in contact with on this site, and i thank you very much! ill let you know if and how it works!
