Exclamation 98 E320 radio shows everything is ok but no sound in the car

i just bought a 98 E320 today, the seller told me that the radio is not working because it needs the code for it but later i realized the radio is ok because i can search channels or when i put a cd in the changer it shows the channel or plays the cd on the LCD but there is no sound in the car. i turn the volume knob but there still nothing.
when the radio needs a code it will just says "code" and will not show the radio channel with ST(strong reception) and plays CD on the lcd but there is not sound right?

In the fuse box I believe (not funny, I know). You should find the location of fuse boxes from your car manual. I believe the fuse assignment on your car appears on a a piece of paper at each fuse box, if not, the toolbox should have it for all fuse boxes.

The Sound system amp fuse should be at the rear fuse box, block B, fuse #16.
