I have an 83 240D with a becker europa model 550. I was wondering if there is a way to hook up an Ipod to this unit. I removed the radio and on the back I noticed a black cap over a multipin connector. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is for an auxillary input and if I could hook the ipod up to it.
Yah, that's what it's for. 2 jumper pins for the left and 2 for the right. I've been looking at doing the same thing. After much thought, I'm just going to order the wiring kit from Becker and hook it up that way. I don't know how much it costs, so if it's not too much, then I'll be golden. Otherwise I'll have to wire it up myself.
I just called them. It costs $50 for the cable plus about $10 for shipping. It's the same price for the Europa (mono) and Europa II. I have to think about ordering it, or just making one myself.
