hello im new to the site and to a benz. im not shure what im doing with this car. im used to gm's and domestics. i just got the car today its a 03 e500 with the logic 7 harmon kardon system in it and the front center speaker distorts really bad and i think its busted or loose. what do i do about it?
i can take a gm or ford apart in minutes but im not shure on this car. please help guys thanks

if you have just the inset grille in the top of the dash then it pops up with a pry tool but you might have better luck by pulling out the top vent assembly and prying upward from underneath as the dash on older cars can start to get brittle and may damage when you pry against it.

There is a service bulletin regarding distortion from the center speaker. It is caused by wires and other under dash items contacting the speaker. It affects mostly early built W211 like yours.
